Ways to make films about Chengdu with AI
Chengdu has many calling cards: giant pandas, Shu embroidery, Sichuan opera, teahouses and hot pot, plus the Jinsha site and Dujiangyan. When we made the Tianfu Twin Towers film, the moment pandas and embroidery hit the screen, viewers knew it was Chengdu. More ideas:
- Giant pandas and the old lanes: let a panda guide visitors through Kuanzhai Alley, teahouses and hot pot, as an ongoing vertical IP series.
- The Jinsha site and the Golden Sun Bird: set the birds on the gold ornament flying around the sun, as artifact revival shorts and exhibition-hall animation.
- Dujiangyan: animate how the Fish Mouth, Flying Sand Weir and Bottle Neck divide the water, for a history film or a study-tour video.
- Sichuan opera face-changing and Shu embroidery: masks flipping one after another and thread moving stitch by stitch, for heritage animation or chapter transitions on festival screens.
- Landmark building screens: festive themes composed for the corners and angles of the façade screens so distant viewers can still read the characters and greetings.
How Chengdu projects run remotely, and when we travel
We are based in Longgang, Shenzhen, and projects in other cities can run fully remotely: briefs and reviews over video calls, script, style, storyboards and first cut approved step by step in a project group, the film reviewed online and delivered via cloud drive.
When meeting in person or being on site matters, we can send people to you—for a kickoff meeting, a location recce with reference photos, or on-site playback support on event day. Travel and accommodation are listed separately in the quote.
Work worth a look for clients in Chengdu
We have done a local project in Chengdu: the Chengdu Tianfu Twin Towers Lantern Festival Opening Film, where we handled chapter concepts, AI animation for the twin-tower screens and live-action compositing. Its four chapters use Shu embroidery to link pandas, koi, dragon and phoenix and futuristic imagery, played at the event and looped after the festival.
Pricing and timeline for Chengdu projects
We take on projects from a few thousand to several hundred thousand yuan, priced by running time and production tier; a 1–2 minute film usually takes about two weeks, and a sample demo can be ready the same day. Rush production is available; timeline and price are agreed case by case.
