01 / Background
One Orchestra, Many Animals and Stages
This is an original AI fan-made music short that Liandan AI Studio created just as Kling AI first opened to the public. The soundtrack is Jay Chou's song “Greatest Works of Art,” and the film is not the song's official MV. The stars are animals playing music like people, and the challenge was making foxes, lions, leopards, rabbits, pandas and other very different animals look like one orchestra across a run of shots. The film gives each animal an instrument, so every character has a clear part to play, and turns forests, theaters, deserts, flower fields and cities into their stages.
The images had to make it clear which animal it is and also show clearly how it plays. Most shots keep the animal's upper body, the instrument and its hands in one frame, so viewers first see who is playing and then enjoy the costumes, fur, ambient light and the shift from day to night. The location keeps changing, but everything stays centered on the music.
02 / Creative Highlights
Animal, Instrument, Place: Three in Every Combination
01
Characters You Understand the Moment They Appear
The fox plays the violin, the lion conducts, the leopard plays electric guitar, the rabbit plucks the harp and the panda plays the piano. From the pose and the instrument, you know at once what role each plays in the orchestra. Putting different animals together is fun in itself, and their fixed parts let viewers tell who is who at a glance as the shots change.
02
A New Place, a New Mood
Strings in the forest, bands in the desert and the city, performances in flower fields and by the water, each on its own stage. Day and night scenes alternate and the light and color shift with them; the theme of performance keeps repeating while the settings and atmosphere keep changing.
03
Real Fur and Light Make the Animal Musicians Believable
The details of fur, costumes and instruments match the lighting of each scene, so the anthropomorphic animals look like they're really there. The images keep the animals' features while showing the instruments and movements clearly, so viewers quickly understand each pairing.
04
Piano on the Sea, at the Beginning and the End
In the opening, a fox in sunglasses plays piano on the sea; at the end, a panda plays piano on the same sea. The star has changed, but the sea, the piano and the playing pose echo the opening, giving a string of separate animal performances a clear ending.
03 / Scene Breakdown
23 musicians take the stage, one after another.

Clip · 00:52–01:00
Drummer in the Snow, Back to Piano on the Sea
A penguin in a top hat plays a red drum kit in the ice and snow, and finally a panda sits down to play the piano on the sea, ending the film in the same setting as the opening.

Case Study
One Minute, 23 Shots | An Animal Band That Keeps Changing Stages
In June 2024, shortly after Kling AI opened to the public, we made a 60-second short.
Foxes, pandas, penguins, sea turtles... more than ten kinds of animals take turns performing on the sea, in forests, deserts, churches and on the seabed, set to Jay Chou's song “Greatest Works of Art.”
This is an original AI fan-made short by Liandan AI Studio, not the song's official MV. On June 10, Kling AI's official account published it on Kuaishou, with a caption noting it was among Kling's first creations.

Something New on Screen for the Whole Minute
A song plays for a minute, and if the camera stays on the same character the whole time, viewers soon get bored.
Our approach was simple: every shot gets a new musician, a new instrument and a new place. The fox gets the piano and violin, the penguin the drums, the sea turtle a piano on the seabed, and the rabbit a harp in a flower field.
Opening: a fox in sunglasses plays piano on the seaNext shot: the fox plays the violin in an autumn wood
We also picked places with strong contrasts: daytime dunes followed by a riverside at night, a neon street followed by a church aisle, a flower field followed by the seabed. Every two or three seconds, viewers see a combination they didn't expect.
A panda plays the flute by a mountain streamA penguin in a top hat plays drums in the snow
However much the animals change, one thing stays the same: most shots are medium shots, with the animal's upper body, the instrument and its hands all in frame. Who is playing, and what they're playing, is clear at a glance.
02
Shots Change with the Music, and the Ending Returns to the Sea
The film has 23 shots, and apart from the first, it cuts about every 2.5 seconds at very even intervals, so it feels like a new musician steps in with each bar of music.
Clip · 00:34–00:39
Harp in the Flower Field, Then Piano on the Seabed
The rabbit finishes plucking the harp, and the next shot is a sea turtle swimming up to a piano on the seabed, changing instrument and place at once.
Day and night scenes alternate too: the woods, beach and desert are bright, while the nightclub, rooftop and neon street are dark. When the light changes, the rhythm changes with it.
We deliberately used the same setting for the beginning and the end: a piano on the sea. In the opening it's a fox in sunglasses playing; at the end, a panda in sunglasses. That's how a string of unrelated animal performances gets its ending.

What this project achieved
Made just as Kling AI opened to the public, the film was published by Kling AI's official account and earned 39K likes and 1,054 saves on Kuaishou.
For clients, it shows one thing: a social short of a few dozen seconds can be built with AI, one idea per shot, fitting more than a dozen characters and settings into a single film while keeping a consistent look.
For students, here's an approach you can take straight away: first list “animal + instrument + place” combinations, use medium shots throughout to show the whole character and instrument, then cut evenly to the rhythm of the music, and close by returning to the opening setting.
FAQ
FAQ
How do you make an animal band music short with AI?
This film first set the “animal + instrument + place” pairings, such as penguin with drums, sea turtle with a seabed piano and rabbit with a harp in a flower field, then generated each shot one by one with Kling AI. Most shots are medium shots so the animal, instrument and hands are all in frame, and the result was edited to the rhythm of the music into a 60-second, 23-shot film.
How many shots does a one-minute AI short need?
It depends on the pace. This film uses 23 shots in 60 seconds, changing about every 2.5 seconds after the first shot, which suits fast-paced short videos on social platforms. Narrative films use longer and fewer shots.
Can an AI fan-made video using someone else's song be used directly in a commercial project?
Not directly. This “Greatest Works of Art” animal band is an original fan-made short by Liandan AI Studio; the song's copyright belongs to its rights holders, and the film is not the official MV. Commercial projects need licensed music or an original score.
Approach
Linking Separate Images Through Performance
Every shot is built from an “animal, instrument, setting” combination: a rabbit with a harp in a flower field, a sea turtle with a piano underwater, a penguin with a drum kit in the snow. Most shots are medium shots with the animal and instrument in frame together; the location keeps changing, while actions like plucking strings, playing piano and beating drums link the images together.
The bright light and color of forests and flower fields alternate with the nighttime light of neon streets and stages, so the rhythm changes with each new setting; the piano on the sea appears once at the beginning and once at the end, and the last performance shot returns to the opening image.
