01 / Background
Turning Robot Street into a trip you can experience
The promo for Longgang's Robot Street had to string several industries and experience zones into one engaging exploration. Introduced one by one, education, eldercare, smart home, autonomous delivery, AI experiences and robot entertainment would easily become a list of facilities. The project makes foreign visitor Alex the lead, and viewers follow his curiosity, his ride and his interactions into the street.
Instead of a fast-cut “discovery” style, the film moves through the street in one continuous run. The skateboard keeps the camera moving forward, and what each hall does comes through in the character's own experience; a tennis ball on the court, the door frames of the halls and the light trail of an AI dragon all carry us into the next scene, so each change of location feels like part of a real tour.
The film opens with bright daytime scenes of a friendly tech neighborhood, then moves from experiences and dining to a nighttime combat show and a city panorama. The images are based on real locations, with AI generating the experience scenes. The point is to let viewers feel what kind of tech-enabled life they could have here.
02 / Creative Highlights
Letting the visitor's actions bring each hall to life
01
Putting the skateboard route in a believable city space
The opening first shows the skateboard tucked under his arm, then follows him along the bike lane. With the skateboard introduced early and a sensible route, viewers can follow his movement into the street, and the continuous tour has a clear starting point.
02
Using whatever is moving on screen to lead into the next scene
When a tennis ball flies at the camera, the camera swings around it and back to the visitor's direction of travel; after the dragon bursts out of the console, its light trail carries him into the next hall; a takeout bag is then used to mask a transition. Every scene change borrows a movement already in the frame, so the showcase of each feature becomes one complete exploration.
03
Trying the tech first, then seeing it in daily life
Alex interacts in turn with a teaching robot, a smart home, an AI console and a troupe of dancing robots. The blue interface and the golden dragon are the most eye-catching highlights, while cooking, meal delivery and drone takeout bring things back to everyday needs, so viewers see not just the technology but what life here looks like.
04
Nighttime buzz turns one person's trip into a whole city
Blue lights on the combat stage, cheering crowds and fireworks make the later part livelier, and spherical robots and the street at night keep the energy going. Finally the camera rises to the twin towers and a panorama of the city, revealing “City of the Future, Where Anything Is Possible,” the theme of the whole tour.

Where the film is shown
We delivered a 2 min 28 sec promo in 4K (3840×2160), the first film in the street's promo series, stringing daytime exploration, AI experiences, everyday services and nighttime entertainment into one complete tour.
The film has been shown on Robot Street's outdoor big screen; in on-site photos you can make out Alex and the blue Driverless Vehicle Hall. It is also used in the street's official promotion and released on Longgang government accounts.
Case Study
Liandan AI Studio × Longgang Robot Street | Following a skateboard through an entire street of robots
One street, more than a dozen robot-related halls: education, eldercare, smart home, autonomous delivery, AI experiences, robot combat…
Introduce them one by one, and what viewers get is a list of facilities.
We tried something else: a foreign visitor, Alex, steps onto a skateboard, sets off from a question mark on his phone and rides into the street, touring all of these places.
This is our work for Longgang Robot Block, Shenzhen, the first film in a promo series. It runs 2 min 28 sec, was delivered in 4K and is already playing on the big screen outside the street.

More than a dozen halls: how do you avoid a checklist?
What mattered most to the client: every business on the street had to be seen in the film.
But with so many businesses, showing them one at a time turns into “this is the education hall, this is the eldercare center, these are the driverless vehicles…”, and viewers struggle to watch to the end.
Our idea: let one person link all the halls together. The first plan was a discovery film with plenty of fast cuts; we later changed it to one continuous run, with the camera always following him forward: wherever he goes, viewers see.
Why a foreign visitor? Everything is new to a visitor, so his curiosity becomes the audience's curiosity. Why a skateboard? A skateboard keeps him moving, so the camera always has speed and direction, and each scene change feels like he is really riding through.
Clip · 00:00–00:05
Opening on a phone screen
The phone reads “Robot Block?” and Alex looks up at the twin towers in the distance; the tour begins here.
02
Locking down the people and the robots first
In a one-take film, the worst thing is a lead whose face changes along the way. So before generating any video, we built the lead: front, side and back views, expressions and jumping poses. The client picked one version from several, and we used it throughout the film.
Reference sheet for the lead, Alex: multiple angles, expressions and skateboard moves
The same went for the robots. The traffic robot, teaching robot, dancing robots, delivery robot, robot dog, combat robots, driverless vehicle and drone each got its own reference sheet based on the real machines on the street; the halls were regenerated as needed for the film, using real photos of the street as the base.
We fine-tuned the opening too. To show the skateboard from the start, we changed Alex on the rooftop from empty-handed to holding a skateboard under his arm; the riding route also moved from the car lane to the bike lane, which looks more plausible.
First draft: holding only a phoneFinal: the skateboard appears first
03
Changing scenes by borrowing whatever is moving on screen
The hard part of a one-take film is changing scenes. From the tennis court to the education hall, from the AI hall to the restaurant, there can't be a sudden hard cut.
We used three techniques:
Follow something in motion: a tennis ball flies at the camera, the camera flips around it and comes back behind Alex.
Block the view for a moment: a door frame, the dragon's light, a takeout bag, fireworks; in the instant the lens is covered, the scene behind is already somewhere new.
Follow the same person through a door: the same person on the same skateboard pushes open a door and is in the next hall.
Clip · 00:27–00:32
A tennis ball flies straight at us
The camera swings around the tennis ball to above Alex's head, then turns back to follow him as he rides on.
In fact, the whole film was generated segment by segment and joined together: the last frame of one segment is the first frame of the next. We placed the joins on fast movement, occlusions and close-ups wherever possible; with viewers' attention on the action, the seams don't show.
Clip · 01:44–01:52
A takeout bag blocks the camera
A drone delivers takeout, the black bag fills the frame, and the next second he's standing in the combat arena.
04
Trying the tech first, then seeing it in daily life
The halls shouldn't just be seen; they should make people want to come. So in the film, Alex doesn't just pass by. He gets hands-on.
The film's most eye-catching segment is in the AI 6S Store: he says “Draw a dragon” to a screen, and a golden dragon of light bursts out, flies a circle around him and, trailing light, leads him next door to the Robot 6S Store.
Clip · 01:18–01:24
The golden dragon leaps out of the screen
The dragon of light circles Alex, then flies out of the store and leads him to the next shop.
After the climax, the film comes back to small everyday things like eating and picking up takeout: robots tossing woks, a delivery robot serving food, a drone dropping takeout into his hands. Viewers see not only “what technology there is” but also “what life would be like living here.”

Every sign right, every action believable
Store names in the promo had to match the real ones on the street. AI-generated scene images often sprout stray small text and messy signage, so before generating video we cleaned them up one by one:Key store names corrected, irrelevant small text removed.
First draft: stray small text and signage under the entrance signFinal: only the “AI Education Hall” name kept
The actions had to hold up to scrutiny too. During review we changed two more things: the steps at the Driverless Vehicle Hall entrance became a short ramp, so the delivery vehicle could plausibly drive down it; and in the brain-controlled race car game, the little car always stays on the track.
The Driverless Vehicle Hall entrance changed to a short ramp
Before finalizing, we checked the subtitles, sound effects and on-screen text item by item, then upscaled to 4K for delivery.

What this project achieved
One person on one skateboard linked more than a dozen business areas into a two-and-a-half-minute film you can watch in one go.
For the client, every hall gets its moment on screen, without the film reading like a manual. For viewers, what sticks is one street: a place to play with AI, watch robots fight and get takeout delivered by drone.
The film is playing on the outdoor big screen outside the street, and it is also used in the street's official promotion and on Longgang government accounts.

FAQ
FAQ
How do you keep the lead consistent throughout an AI promo?
We first design the lead: front, side and back views, expressions and skateboard moves. Once the client picks a version, it's used for the whole film. Every video segment is generated with these references, and each segment's last frame leads into the next, so Alex stays the same person for all 2 min 28 sec.
Can AI make a one-continuous-take promo?
It can create the feel of one continuous take. This film was generated in segments and joined, with the joins placed on fast movement, occlusions and close-ups, plus transitions like the tennis ball, door frames, the dragon of light and the takeout bag, so it looks like one continuous tour.
How long did a film like this take from brief to delivery?
The one-take approach was settled in early July; about a week later the first complete sample with sound effects was ready, and after several rounds of detail revisions the 4K final was delivered in mid-August.
Does it work on outdoor big screens?
This film was delivered in 3840×2160 (4K) and has been shown on the outdoor big screen outside Robot Street. Store names and text in the frame were cleaned up before generation, so they stay legible on a big screen.
Approach
One visitor, more than a dozen spaces
We first designed the lead's look, skateboard, expressions and moves, then gathered references for the scenes and robots: transportation, education, eldercare, smart home, delivery and the stage. The storyboard was organized by functional segment, and the generated clips were joined with camera moves, door-frame wipes and a single moving element, so it looks like one continuous tour.
The segments are joined through first and last frames: we picked suitable frames at each join, revised them and regenerated, so the character's movement and the surroundings flow into the next segment. Showing the skateboard first and riding along the bike lane, turning the hall entrance into a short ramp, and keeping the race car on its track all serve to make the movement of people and vehicles through the space more believable.
