01 / Background
How Robot Street went from a list of facilities to a city story
The promo music video for Robot Street in Longgang, Shenzhen had to introduce the theater, delivery, parades, art and public spaces, and connect the technology with everyday city life. Working from the real venues and equipment, the project pictures a near-future district. There is no human lead running through the film; robots, drones, streets and landmarks show viewers around, while visitors and operators appear only in specific scenes.
The lyrics move from the city waking up and data collection to robot performances, services and sightseeing, then on to the art flower gallery, nature and the twin towers at night. Wherever the song is, that is the part of the district on screen.
02 / Creative Highlights
Technology shown through real places and actions
01
Linking data training to what the robots do
Dancing robots can't just be a show of skill; the film has to explain how they learned. It first shows the data gloves and control stations, then cuts from the data collection hall to the lift stage, where a robot rises, stands upright and spreads its arms. The learning and model upgrades in the lyrics are carried by one continuous chain of actions, so viewers get it: the data comes first, then the robot learns to perform.
02
Wherever the lyrics go, the picture follows
When the song sings about robots, drones and the art flower gallery, the picture cuts to those places. The lyrics set the order of what is shown, and the shots fill in the setting and action, so the music video keeps the rhythm of the song while still giving a clear tour of the district.
03
Technology and nature in one bright city
Cool white robots, cyan light strips and glass buildings share the frame with greenery, fields of flowers and water. Later in the film, a mirror installation first reflects the flower gallery; after a close-up of drifting petals, the camera pushes onto a walkway where robots and visitors stroll together. The art space becomes the next stop on the tour, and the technology theme lands in a setting that feels approachable.
04
The city's energy, seen in a landmark from day to night
The twin towers appear side by side under different skies, and the film ends on an overhead view of the district and the title. From day to night and from details to the full view, scattered facilities come together into one complete city, and “endless vitality” shows up in everyday life and every corner of the district.

A promo music video for the city of the future
We delivered “City of the Future, Endless Vitality,” a 2 min 31 s (including end logo) music video in 4K at 3840×2160, the third film in the Robot Street series. Its 37 shots follow the lyrics, with each line taking viewers to one place in the district.
Case Study
Liandan AI Studio × Longgang Robot Street | Each line of lyrics takes viewers to a new street corner
How many kinds of robots can one street hold?
Street sweepers, delivery drones, window-cleaning robots, patrolling robot dogs, dancing humanoid robots… The venues and equipment the client wanted to feature came to nearly twenty items.
We had to cover them all in two and a half minutes without making it look like an equipment manual.
For the third film in the Robot Street series, we tried a different approach: write a song, and let each line of lyrics take viewers to a new place.

01
How do you fit nearly twenty places into one song?
The client wanted the film to cover Robot Avenue, the Robot Theater, the 6S store, autonomous street sweepers, delivery drones, facade-cleaning robots, the Smart Police Station, driverless buses, Yabao Reservoir, Handcraft Street, the International Art Center and the twin-tower light show. The film has no fixed human lead; the equipment and places are the stars.
With a list that long, stitching items together one by one would just produce a string of showcases. So we wrote the lyrics first and ordered them across a single day:At dawn the district wakes; in the theater, robots learn their moves; by day, all kinds of service robots take to the streets; at dusk, a driverless bus heads to the water and the flower fields; at night, the twin towers light up.
Once the lyrics were set, we broke them into shots line by line. The film has 37 shots, each about 4 seconds, matching one line of lyrics. When the song goes “the delivery drone flies over towers to the station,” the picture shows a drone lowering a meal box onto the landing ring; when it goes “washed glass walls show rainbows in the sky,” a window-cleaning robot sprays water on a tower's facade.
Clip · 00:56–01:03
Wherever the lyrics go, the picture follows
A delivery drone descends onto the landing ring, then a window-cleaning robot sprays mist on a tower's facade, with each subtitled lyric matching the picture.
The song, “Longgang, Longgang, Toward the Horizon,” was also made with AI, and its chorus repeats “Longgang, Longgang,” which makes it catchy. The client approved the opening melody on first listen; a few lines near the end weren't sung clearly, so we separated the vocals from the backing track and fixed the ending on its own.
02
Walking the streets first, then generating images
Robot Street is a real place. The sweepers on its roads and the delivery vehicles parked outside the showroom have a specific look, and locals would spot it immediately if we got them wrong.
Before production, the team photographed and filmed the district on site, and shot a batch of equipment at Longgang's robot expo. For every shot, we fed in the matching real-world photo as a reference when generating images: the sweeper's colors and brush heads, the front of the delivery vehicle, the archway on Handcraft Street, the orange colonnade of the International Art Center.
On site: an autonomous street sweeper in the districtFinal: same colors and two brush heads, placed in the morning light on Robot Avenue
We also set the visual style up front: a bright, clean near-future city, with cool white equipment against Shenzhen's dense greenery, and no gloomy, dystopian feel. The whole film used one style reference to keep the light and color consistent.
Once all 37 storyboard stills were done, we showed them to the client first. They approved them in one round, and only then did we start on video. By locking the stills before animating, the content and look of every shot were settled before anything moved.
03
Before the robots dance, show how they learned
The theater sequence is the only part of the film that explains a “process.” The lyrics “one grip of the glove connects to faraway places” and “a million motions merge into an ocean of data” describe robots learning from people who demonstrate movements over and over.
The picture follows that order: the camera rushes into the theater atrium and down into the data collection hall; an operator puts on a data glove and closes the fingers; people in the hall grab and carry things for the robots beside them to learn from, and cyan streams of data flow to the big screen.
Then sound waves pulse on the big screen, the round platform at center stage rises, a humanoid robot stands upright and spreads its arms, and a glowing “data tree” grows on the screen behind it.

Viewers don't need to know any technical terms to understand:First people teach, then the robots can dance.
04
A cloud, a bus window, a mirror
The second half travels from the district to Yabao Reservoir, Handcraft Street and Shanhua Lanman Park, places far apart. Instead of hard cuts to black, we let things in the frame carry viewers from one to the next.
A drone flies up into the clouds; the clouds part to reveal a driverless bus at a stop, the doors open and the camera boards; the next shot is the reservoir outside the window, where an autonomous boat carries visitors drinking coffee and a mowing robot works on the shore.
The mirror took the most thought. A huge mirror installation stands in front of the International Art Center, but what it reflects isn't the street in front of it; it's the sea of flowers nearby. A petal drifts past, the camera pushes into the mirror, and when it comes out, we're already on a path among the flowers.

05
If people can't recognize the place, the promo hasn't done its job
Landmarks and text in a city promo have to stand up to locals' scrutiny. We checked the twin towers, the Galaxy logo, the police station sign and the 6S store sign shot by shot.
The towers in the opening aerial got the Galaxy logo on top; the police station sign was changed to “Smart Police Station”; and in the closing shot over the whole city, the twin towers in the distance were rescaled from real photos so the two are equal in height and equally slender.
Reference: the real twin towersFirst version: towers too shortFinal: slender towers of equal height, matching the real ones
While reviewing the film, we and the client picked out a few more details to fix one by one: the sweeper now kicks up only a few leaves by the curb and leaves the road spotless; the two robot-dog shots were redone with walking motions based on real robot dogs; and every piece of text in the frame was checked again. The colorful closing title and logo card match the other two films in the series.
06
What this project achieved
We delivered a 2 min 31 s music video in 4K (3840×2160), the third film in Longgang's Robot Street series.
For the client, nearly twenty venues and pieces of equipment each got their own shot in a single song. By the time the song ends, viewers have toured the whole district.
For us, the project turned a method into a smooth routine:Write the song to set the order, shoot references on site, have the client review the stills, then make the video and check text and landmarks shot by shot. AI makes images fast, but making them look like “this exact place” comes down to these earlier steps.

The twin towers light up
The towers display “LONGGANG” and “ROBOT BLOCK,” and lights along the whole street come on with them.
FAQ
FAQ
In an AI city promo, how do you make landmarks and equipment look truly local?
Before production on this film, the team photographed Robot Street and Longgang's robot expo on site, and fed the matching real-world photo into every shot as a reference when generating images. The twin towers' proportions, the Galaxy logo and the police station sign were checked shot by shot and fixed locally, and the colors and shapes of the sweepers and delivery vehicles match the real ones.
With no human lead, how do you string a dozen-plus venues into one film?
Write the lyrics first, with each line tied to one venue, and order them across a day: dawn, daytime, dusk and night. The film has 37 shots, each about 4 seconds to match one line, and scenes change through things in the frame such as clouds, a bus window and a mirror.
How long did a music video like this take from song to delivery?
The song was set in early July, the storyboard stills went to the client for approval in mid-July, and after approval in one round we started on video. The first cut was ready on July 17, it was finalized in early August after the client's revisions, and the 4K version was output on August 5: about a month in total.
What specs can you deliver?
This film is a 16:9, 3840×2160 4K finished film, 2 min 31 s long, with line-by-line lyric subtitles; the closing title and logo card match the other two films in the series.
Approach
Lyrics, location references and a near-future look
We broke the film into 37 shots based on the lyrics and key venues. Before production, we photographed the district and Longgang's robot expo on site and organized the photos of Robot Avenue, the theater, delivery equipment, the twin towers and the art spaces into references, feeding the matching real-world photo into every shot when generating images. For style, we set separate rules for equipment structure, building proportions, cool white light and local Shenzhen greenery, so the near-future visuals are grounded in a real place.
How shots connect depends on what each segment needs to say. Police patrols, the driverless-vehicle handoff and the parade are separate events, so they're joined with straight cuts; the stage platform uses a clear rising motion; and the move from the mirror into the flower fields stays continuous through the petals, the mirror's edge and the forward push. That way, viewers can tell what each piece of equipment does and still follow the tour route.
The twin towers' outline, the Galaxy logo, and the Smart Police Station and 6S store signs were all checked against the real places shot by shot. Landmarks and text aren't just decoration; they have to let viewers recognize where this is. The visuals were first unified to the references, then the animated footage was cut into the music video to the rhythm of the finalized song.
