01 / Background
Bringing the digital economy from concept into the city
The opening ceremony of the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference needed an MV that brought together the song, Digital Beijing and the ultra-wide screen at the venue. The audience had to feel Beijing's openness and also see how digital technology enters everyday life, so the imagery starts from Beijing's landmarks and unfolds step by step into human-machine collaboration, transportation, payments, care and participants from around the world.
The shots follow the lyrics of “Digital Beijing, Together for the Future.” The verses use concrete scenes to tell the story of digital life, while the choruses use bold Chinese and English theme words and city panoramas to make it memorable. The ultra-wide stage version and the standard viewing version share the same content and style in two aspect ratios.
02 / Creative Highlights
Connecting Beijing, everyday life and the world
01
Grounding the lyrics in recognizable scenes of daily life
People and robots playing piano together, mobile payments, bedside care, an elderly woman using a virtual screen: these actions ground the technology in recognizable daily life. The robots appear in front of landmarks and also in homes and on the streets, so “technology with heart” comes through in people's interactions with these services.
02
The camera sinks to show the connections beneath the city
The camera moves from the street at pedestrians' feet down to glowing blue underground conduits, matching the lyric “The city beneath your feet already understands your heart.” This transition joins everyday life above ground with the digital infrastructure below into one space, giving the data lines a concrete place and purpose. It is the most direct explanation in the film.
03
The chorus makes the theme memorable; the verses open up scenes of life
Big words such as “Welcome” and “The World Moves Together” appear alongside the data city, with the specific lyrics in separate Chinese and English subtitles. The stage version also accounts for the podium blocking part of the screen, placing the verse lyrics on both sides and the theme words in the middle; the standard version repositions the text so the people and scenes stay clear.
04
Linking the sections with Beijing culture and images of the future
The Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, city gates and modern buildings alternate in streams of cyan-blue light, with the same digital lines running through them all so they read as one. The finale moves through the airport, a planet and golden particles back to the GDEC logo, so the city's welcome, its connection to the world and the conference logo all close within the same piece of music.

An ultra-wide visual plan for the opening ceremony
The MV was played at the opening ceremony of the Global Digital Economy Conference on July 2, 2025: the 46×6 m ultra-wide screen at the venue showed the final 8K version in a 23:3 aspect ratio, and after the project we received a letter of thanks from the organizing committee. The video above is the standard 16:9 version for phones and the web.
Case Study
Liandan AI Studio × 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference | An AI MV That Fills a 46-Meter Screen
The main screen at the opening ceremony is 46 meters wide and 6 meters high.
On a screen like this, an ordinary video leaves both sides empty; stretch it to fill the screen, and people and buildings get distorted.
The 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference asked us to make its opening ceremony MV, “Digital Beijing, Together for the Future.” From the very first image, we composed to the proportions of this screen. An ultra-wide 8K version was played at the opening ceremony, and we also delivered a 16:9 version for phones and the web.

On a 46-meter screen, the image first has to fit
The screen at the venue has a resolution of 15456×2016, an aspect ratio of about 23:3, far wider than a cinema widescreen.
Instead of making a 16:9 version first and padding out the sides, we composed for 23:3 from the very first image: horizontally sweeping scenes like Tiananmen Square, the Central Axis and the city skyline fill the entire screen perfectly.
Final giant-screen frame: sunrise lights up the Central Axis
A podium in the middle of the stage blocks part of the bottom of the screen. So the verse lyrics are placed on the left and right, and big theme words like “Welcome” and “The World Moves Together” sit in the middle, slightly high, so they can be seen even when someone is on stage.
Shots of people were another challenge: with just one person in an ultra-wide frame, they look tiny. We made the people shots into four or eight panels side by side, generating each panel separately, so together they form a welcome that fills the whole screen.
Clip · 00:32–00:39
Open Arms in Four Places
In front of the Great Wall, the red walls, the convention center and the Temple of Heaven, four people in a split screen open their arms at the same moment.
02
Turning lyrics into recognizable scenes of daily life
The client wanted the film to convey openness and friendliness, with Beijing's historical depth as well as the contrast of ancient and modern, China and the world, side by side.
Many lines in the lyrics are conceptual, such as “technology with heart” and “the city understands you.” Our approach: find a specific person and a specific action for every line.
For “Together we compose the new sound of technology and connection,” the image is a human hand and a robotic hand playing piano together; for “See a doctor and get medicine without leaving home,” a robot hands water to an elderly man at his bedside; for “Silver-haired elders hear the dawn at their fingertips,” an elderly woman in her living room taps a floating screen as she talks.
Bedside care (final giant-screen frame)A silver-haired elder and a virtual screen (final giant-screen frame)
The verses tell these small stories of daily life, and the choruses pull back to city panoramas and big words, so whatever section the audience is hearing, they know what the images are saying.
03
A sinking camera move that makes “the city understands you” clear
“The city beneath your feet already understands your heart” is the most abstract line in the whole song.
We built it from a pair of first and last frames: the first frame is a low shot of pedestrians' steps as the ground begins to glow; the last frame is a dense network of blue conduits underground. As the camera sinks from the ground, the audience sees the “invisible city” that supports everyday life.
First frame: the street at pedestrians' feetLast frame: digital conduits beneath the city

From Underfoot into the Digital Conduits
The camera follows pedestrians' steps and sinks through the ground to reveal glowing blue underground conduits.
04
Real robots, vehicles and landmarks had to be recognizable
The conference focuses on Beijing's real digital industries, so the humanoid robots, driverless vehicles and delivery drones in the film, along with landmarks like the Bird's Nest and Daxing Airport, all had to be recognizable at a glance.
We generated all these shots from clear reference images that contained the needed angles and key actions. For shots such as open arms, two cars driving side by side and robots running a marathon, we handled the action and composition separately, then made local fixes to details like hands, faces, roofs and signs.
A handshake between human and robot (final giant-screen frame)Robot marathon (final giant-screen frame)
Once each shot was locked, we noted in the production document which version was used and how far it was upscaled, making later revisions easy to track and the two aspect ratios easy to cross-check.
05
Test on the giant screen first, then lock the 8K version
An image that looks sharp on a computer screen won't necessarily look sharp on a 46-meter screen.
A few days before the opening, we sent different versions to the giant screen at the venue for test playback and compared them with the client. The version upscaled shot by shot to 8K with a higher bitrate looked best on site, so that was the one used on the screen. The subtitles were also re-laid out at 8K size (7680×1002), with the Chinese font size matched to the original English font size, so they wouldn't look too large on screen.
Clip · 03:31–03:38
Particles Form GDEC
Golden particles gather into the conference logo, and the film ends here.
On the day of the opening ceremony, the client also needed a 16:9 version to share on phones. Instead of simply cropping a section out of the ultra-wide image, we recomposed for 16:9, rearranged the split-screen shots with many people, and regenerated shots that couldn't be cropped, so everyone appears fully in the frame.
06
What this project achieved
This is an 8K conference MV, AI-generated from images to final film and played on a 46×6 m ultra-wide screen. It was played at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Global Digital Economy Conference, and after the project we received a letter of thanks from the organizing committee.
For clients, an ultra-wide screen no longer has to be limited to a static key visual or a simple motion background; it can also show a complete MV with lyrics, people and a city's story.
For anyone learning AI video, three things in this project are most worth a look: compose for the screen's proportions from the start, find a specific action for every line of lyrics, always do a test playback on site before going live.
FAQ
FAQ
How do you make AI video for an ultra-wide giant screen without distortion?
This screen is 46 meters wide and 6 meters high, a ratio of about 23:3. We composed for 23:3 from the very first image rather than stretching a 16:9 image wider; shots of people were made as four or eight panels side by side, each generated separately, so neither people nor buildings are distorted.
How long did a conference opening ceremony MV take from kickoff to the big screen?
The project kicked off in early May 2025, went through several rounds of proposals and revisions, had a test playback on the giant screen at the venue in late June, and was played at the opening ceremony on July 2: about 8 weeks in all.
Will AI-generated images look blurry on a giant screen when upscaled to 8K?
We upscaled each shot individually, then sent different versions to the giant screen at the venue to compare with the client, and chose the 8K version that looked best on site. The subtitles, opening titles and end credits were made separately at 8K size rather than upscaled along with the images.
Can you deliver a giant-screen version and a mobile version at the same time?
Yes. This project delivered an ultra-wide 8K giant-screen version (7680×1002), a 4080×2160 version for the sub-forum screens, and a 16:9 version for phones and the web. The 16:9 version was recomposed for the new aspect ratio, not cropped directly from the giant-screen version.
Approach
Composing the giant screen around the song's structure
During production, we matched the lyrics, shots and subtitles section by section to the chosen song. The ultra-wide version was checked in a test playback on the giant screen at the venue; the standard 16:9 version uses the same set of final images, so the content of both versions matches.
Shots featuring the Tien Kung robot and vehicles were all generated from clear reference images containing the needed angles and key actions; for shots such as open arms and cars driving side by side, the action and composition were handled separately, followed by local fixes to details such as hands, faces, roofs and signs.
The ultra-wide version was upscaled shot by shot, and the subtitles, opening titles and end credits were made separately in post. Lyric timing, English translations, whether subjects were blocked, and how long the end card holds were all checked item by item, so the film was ready both for playback on site and for sharing afterward.
