01 / Background
Setting out across the city to answer “What's fun about Longgang?”
“Longgang Is Fun” is built around the theme of “an interesting way of life,” capturing the city's ease, its sense of design and its sense of achievement. The film is aimed at young people and anyone who likes exploring cities, and it strings cultural experiences, career opportunities and everyday services into a city walk people want to follow.
A single heroine carries the film: she searches “where to go” by the water at an academy, then heads to a concert, Dafen Village, a creative block in a converted factory and a colorful wall, before stepping into a lab, a robot store and a community. Each scene has its own colors and actions, and they all lead to one invitation: “Come enjoy Longgang and grow together.”
02 / Creative Highlights
Following one person through many city experiences.
01
A search box opens a city exploration
By the water at an academy, the heroine opens a search box, and a simple “where to go” draws viewers into the film as photo frames flip through one scene after another. The city's highlights unfold one by one through her experiences, and viewers follow a young person's curiosity all the way through.
02
Art and trendy photo shoots, each with real actions
A painter chats with the heroine, she strolls through a gallery, changes outfits in front of a colorful wall, and children play on a slide, giving art and design the details of everyday life. Orange and light-blue backdrops alternate, so this breezy section leaves a memory of color.
03
Putting the future into scenes where people use it
Chip close-ups, a lab, a robot store and a digital sand table are intercut, and the heroine both visits and gets hands-on in these tech spaces. Industry is told by following a person's interests and actions rather than lining up one machine after another.
04
Closing the city's invitation with the warmth of everyday life
Running errands, resting by a window, raising a toast over dinner, a youth hostel: the film keeps following her experiences. At the end, everyone walks forward together, and fireworks and the theme text gather culture, work and life into one, leaving a relaxed, upbeat impression of the city.

Case Study
Liandan AI Studio × Longgang District Publicity Department | One “Where shall we go?” Reveals a City Full of Fun
“In Longgang, life always feels easy, design is everywhere, and every effort pays off.”
These lines came from a conference speech outline. The client wanted them turned into a city short that young people would enjoy, but provided no storyboard; the visuals were entirely up to us.
This is our work for the Publicity Department of the CPC Longgang District Committee, Shenzhen, the second film in the Longgang series: in 1 minute 21 seconds, a young woman runs through a chain of “Want...? Go have fun at...!” lines, touring a concert, an oil painting village, an old factory, an industrial park and a youth hostel.

01
The client gave us only a few sentences. Where would the visuals come from?
The source material was the district's speech outline for the “Interesting Lifestyle Conference”: ease, a sense of design, a sense of achievement, no limits, tolerance for failure, agile response, young people's first stop... all good words, but none of them could be filmed directly.
We first translated each word into a specific place and a specific action: ease became a concert at the Universiade Center and the painting stalls of Dafen Village; design became the creative block in a converted factory and Juzikeng's colorful walls; achievement became the chips in the industrial park and the moment of an IPO. In pre-production we also made several samples taking different routes, including a story version with a brother and sister touring the city and a version pairing key lines with images, so the client could choose a direction first.
02
Turning slogans into questions young people actually ask
The approach we settled on was question and answer: Want to party? Go have fun at Dayun! Into art? Go have fun at Dafen! Want trendy photos? Go have fun at the old factory! The questions are the kind of ideas young people really have on a weekend, and each answer is a place in Longgang. In Chinese, the word for “fun” (qù) sounds the same as “go” (qù), so every line is an invitation to get out of the house.
Clip · 00:13–00:21
Into art? Go have fun at Dafen!
Each question matches a place: first the oil painting village's stone marker, then the young woman leaning in beside a painter to watch him mix his paints.
The opening comes from the same idea: the young woman opens a search box by the water and types “Where shall we go?”, and the whole film that follows is the answer to that question.
03
One young woman, a new outfit for every kind of fun
Across more than forty shots, the same young woman carries the whole film. Her face stays consistent in every shot, while her clothes change with the scene: a striped T-shirt at the concert, a floral dress at the oil painting village, a pinafore dress at the colorful wall. In early versions the outfits were rather plain, so we specifically compared the results of different outfit descriptions and refined each look to be more polished, like something she'd really wear out.
A gallery corridor in a converted factoryOutfit shots at Juzikeng's colorful wall
The scene transitions also use devices young people know well: torn-edge photos, a camera viewfinder and a recording marker, so it looks like a vlog she edited herself.
04
Making industry and services fun to watch, too
The second half of the film had to cover the industrial park, government services, startup support and youth hostels, the parts most likely to end up looking like a work report. Our solution was to ground each one in a person's reaction: what's handed across the counter in the service hall is a “startup plan,” the young woman throws up her hands when her request is answered in seconds, and at the hostel door there are young people with suitcases.
Hate red tape? Longgang makes it easy!Got a request? Instant response!
Office scenes were also given bright floor-to-ceiling windows, modern office equipment and robots, avoiding bulky old black monitors, so the line “the front line of the future” actually looks true.

What this project achieved
A speech outline ultimately became an 81-second short that young people want to watch to the end: it has questions, answers and one person to follow. Abstract words like ease, design and achievement all became a concert, a painting stall, a colorful wall and a startup plan placed in someone's hands.
Every stop in the film is a real place in Longgang, and the examples on screen all come from that speech outline: it's fun to watch, and everything it says is real.
FAQ
FAQ
Can you make an AI promo film when the client has only a speech and no storyboard?
Yes. This film started from a speech outline: we broke keywords like “ease, a sense of design and a sense of achievement” into specific places and actions, made several samples in different directions for the client to choose from, settled on the “Want...? Go have fun at...!” question-and-answer format, and then generated images shot by shot, generated video and edited.
How does the lead stay the same person across more than forty shots?
We fixed the young woman's appearance first, and every shot was generated from the same face; her clothes were deliberately changed for each scene, with one outfit each for the concert, the oil painting village and the colorful wall. So viewers see one person having fun in different places, not several different actors.
Are the places in the film all real places in Longgang?
Yes. The Universiade Center, Dafen Oil Painting Village, the creative block in a converted factory and Juzikeng are all real locations in Longgang. The images were generated with AI using real photos of these places as reference, so building shapes and signs all match.
Approach
Tying the whole film together with questions, a character and editing.
In pre-production, we broke the theme into scenes that could be filmed, such as culture, design, industry, services and youth life, then built realistic settings based on real landmarks. The heroine acts as a guide in each scene, grounding the city's hard-to-describe character in one concrete experience after another.
The rhythm comes from the energy of the voiceover, the pace of the editing and the action on screen working together. The search box, photo edges and viewfinder keep the way young people like to express themselves, while the outfits, modern office equipment and tech scenes share the same visual texture.
The search box, photo edges and viewfinder serve as visual cues for scene changes; at the end, the invitation in the fireworks brings the heroine's journey to the Longgang logo, so culture, industry and daily life are all seen along a single route.
