Music videos: the visuals follow the lyrics
MV storyboards are broken down lyric by lyric. In the five-minute song The Nine Sons of the Dragon, each son has its own color and object: yellow Qiuniu with a guqin, red Yazi with blades, Pulao with a bronze bell, so viewers can tell them apart even as they switch often.
If there's no song yet, we can write lyrics and generate a few AI demos first, then match visuals line by line once the song is chosen. The Baidu Baike Masterpieces Reimagined MV was made that way, with lyrics, song, line-by-line storyboard and visuals produced together.
Shorts and micro-dramas: script and characters first
Shorts and micro-dramas start from a script or outline. For Kuaishou's “Piggy's Adventures,” we wrote from the outline up: six episodes of about a minute each, every one built on a concrete everyday problem for the laughs. We got the request in late September 2025 and delivered on October 28.
In a multi-episode drama, episode one builds the characters, locations and style and later episodes reuse them, so each later episode costs less than the first; new characters and locations are billed to the episode that introduces them.
How long it takes
These timelines are from our case study pages and vary widely with length and episode count:
- Baidu Baike Masterpieces Reimagined MV: about three weeks to lock, including three rounds of demo revisions
- Robot Street MV Endless Vitality: storyboard stills approved in one pass, about one month in total
- Original short Family Member No. 6: 5:38, script adaptation from late July, released on August 20
- Kuaishou 2026 CNY micro-drama: 7 minutes in several versions, about two months in total
Which shorts suit AI
Myth, sci-fi, historical fantasy, animal characters and imagined worlds are where AI's advantage is clearest: no sets to build and no actors to cast. Subtle facial acting, several characters in one frame and lots of lip-synced dialogue put a film in the Premium tier, and long-form dramas are assessed case by case.
